Our Seed Library is now open to the public!
We’re excited to offer a community-driven resource where everyone can freely share and access seeds to grow a wide variety of plants. Our goal is to foster inclusion, promote sustainability, and ensure equitable access to seeds for everyone in our community, regardless of budget.
How It Works:
Free Seeds, No Cost to You!
Our seed library operates on the honor system: you can take seeds to grow in your garden, free of charge.Donations Are Welcome
While our seeds are free, donations of seeds, tools, gardening supplies, or funds are encouraged and help keep the library thriving. Your contributions support the library's sustainability and enable us to continue offering seeds to our community. How to Borrow Seeds:
- Browse our available seeds and choose the ones you’d like to plant.
- Take a few (as much as you’ll use) in your own container or one of the small bags/envelopes in this binder.
- When you’re ready, return a portion of your harvest to the library for others to enjoy — or donate seeds from your own garden! How to Donate:
You can donate seeds to the library during normal business hours. Simply drop off saved seeds, labeled with the plant variety and any relevant growing information. Don’t have saved seeds? Monetary donations are also appreciated to help us regularly purchase seeds for the growing collection.Seed Donation Guidelines:
- Seeds should be collected, stored, and labeled properly to ensure quality.
- Please ensure your donations are non-GMO and pesticide-free.
- If possible, include information on growing conditions and any other helpful tips!
Why Donate?
Your donation helps to:
- Expand the variety of seeds available to the community.
- Ensure that everyone, regardless of income, has access to high-quality, diverse seeds.
- Support a sustainable and resilient local food system for both humans and wildlife
- Keep the library operating and stocked for all gardeners.
